How to Report Fraud

If you have fallen victim to a scam or you notice fraudulent or unauthorized transactions on your account, it’s important that you contact us right away. We will take swift action to secure your accounts and block your cards, if needed.

  • If you think you have been the victim of identity theft, notify the three credit reporting agencies. You can place an alert on your credit account or freeze your credit to prevent new credit from being opened in your name.

  • Send us a secure email through Online Access Home Banking or the EECU Mobile App.
  • Report fraudulent emails and websites to security@myeecu.org and we will notify the appropriate organizations and government agencies who will analyze the sites and take action to shut them down. 

In Person

  • Visit any EECU branch to report fraudulent account transactions and compromised account/personal information.

Online

  • In addition to contacting EECU, you can also report fraud to the Federal Trade Commission at ReportFraud.ftc.gov.
  • If you think you have been the victim of identity theft, notify the three credit reporting agencies. You can place an alert on your credit account or freeze your credit to prevent new credit from being opened in your name.

  • If you have been a victim of cybercrime, you can file a complaint with the Internet Crime Complaint Center.
