Mortgage Loan Notice of Error or Request for Information

You have certain rights under Federal law related to resolving errors and requesting information about your mortgage account. Notices of Error and Requests For Information must be directed to EECU, Attn: Loan Services, P.O. Box 5242, Fresno, CA 93755-5242. Your submission must be in writing and must include your name, the account and loan number and a description of the error you believe has occurred OR a request for specific information regarding your mortgage loan.

What is a fixed-rate mortgage?

With a fixed-rate mortgage loan, the interest rate does not change for the life of the loan. Typically, payments are also fixed through the entire term.

How is my final mortgage rate calculated and when is that rate confirmed?

Interest rates fluctuate daily, so the rates available when you apply may be different than the rates available when you decide to lock your interest rate. By locking, you protect your selected rate for a stated period regardless of market fluctuation. Depending on the product type and lender, your credit rating, debt-to-income ratio, and combined loan-to-value ratio may be used to determine the final mortgage rate.

What is an escrow account?

An escrow (impound) account allows mortgage holders to include their property tax, homeowners insurance, and flood insurance payments with their monthly mortgage payment. The benefit of an escrow account is that you won't need to set money aside on your own and remember to make your tax and insurance payments on time. The payments are made on your behalf by the loan servicer with the funds in the escrow account as they become due. EECU offers escrow accounts.
