Share and IRA Certificates are similar to Certificates of Deposit (CDs) offered by banks. With an EECU Share or IRA Certificate, you invest a set amount of money for a specific length of time. The money in the certificate earns a higher rate than on a regular savings account, so you can maximize your savings and work toward achieving your financial goals.

Our Share & IRA certificates feature low minimum opening balances and terms ranging from 91 days to five years.

Unlike other types of investments that don’t offer a guaranteed rate of return, you can relax knowing that you’re earning a fixed dividend rate for the entire term of the certificate and your money is insured by the National Credit Union Administration. Can I open a certificate online?

Share Certificates may be opened in Online Access Home Banking or the Mobile App. To open an IRA Certificate, visit any branch or call us.

Can I withdraw money from my certificate at any time?

There is a penalty fee if funds are withdrawn before maturity.

Can I add funds to the certificate balance after it is opened?

No, funds cannot be added to the certificate after opening.
