Kings County Excellence in Education

For more than two decades, EECU has proudly partnered with the Kings County Office of Education to honor the outstanding educators and staff who make a difference every day.

Since 1997 EECU has sponsored the Excellence in Education Awards program, and since 2003 we’ve been honored to serve as its sole sponsor.

This annual awards program honors teachers, administrators, and school employees from throughout the county. Honorees receive a bronze “Apple” sculpture by the late artist Clement Renzi to keep at their district for the year, and a personalized print of his “Story Time” piece. Each year, all honorees and their families are invited to attend an evening reception and awards ceremony celebrating the people who help Kings County students thrive.
